When we first met Maylay she was in a life-threatening situation and we needed to step forward to get her into a safe place. Her eyes told us that she had a great depth of soul. But she was extremely guarded from her past experiences.
It took months of patient work and care before we could even do the most gentle touch; then many more months of work to to be able to help Maylay accept basic care like Vet and Farrier work. Slowly, though, Maylay's true personality began to emerge and we found an extremely sweet, gentle, and *hilarious* horse breaking away layers of fear.
Maylay's experiences have caused her to reach out to others who have trauma in their past, and she now joins with our clients in powerful healing work to to help them overcome their past traumas. Your monthly support helps us provide perfect care for Maylay and other animals at our sanctuary, who then bring your love full circle to benefit hurting members of our community
